DISTRIBUTION: This moth is

 

WING SPAN: 40 to 45mm.                                                STATUS: Resident.

 

FLIGHT PERIOD: June through into August.             LARVAL PERIOD: August and September

 

HABITAT: Woodland fringes, parks, suburban gardens, hedgerows and  other woody areas where the food plants grow.

 

FOOD PLANT/S: a wide variety of Maples and Acers including Sycamore, also on Horse Chestnut.
